"ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE"
"Canada"
Jean and I flew to Canada the 9th of February and returned on the 16th. We had a wonderful time with the Arthur family. They put us up in a wonderful Hotel andlet us get some rest. They took us to breakfast, lunch or dinner every day sometimes all thsoe meals the same day. With the money that Bethany sent us we flew there and with the kindness this family bestowed us we spend very, very little of our own money. Pastor Salim even gave me a "Pentecostal handshake" and told me that I was not allowed to spend any of my own money. We were spoiled. Sam took us to Toronto and the CN tower, a 1,800 plus foot tower overlooking Lake Ontario and Toronto. We dined on Pakistani food, drank Pakistani tea (chai) and ate Indian food at some very popular restaurants. Sam also took us to a street there that was just like being in Pakistan. We enjoyed dinner with the family three times. Pastor's wife, Hamida is a wonderful cook as is his daughter in law, who is Reuben's wife. Mariam and Samuel, his daughter and son-in-law who Pastor a church took us to lunch the day before we left to fly back to Iowa. Their daughter, Ruby and her husband live with Pastor and Hamida, and sons Sam and John. The entire family own and work at a shuttle service called "Morning Star" that shuttles folks from the airport to several different hotels . As all here at Loving Faith know, Pastor Salim is the Pastor of Salima who was tortured and abused in Pakistan. In 1995 his son, Reuben was hung upside down from a tre in a prison yard until he passed out and was incarcerated and nearly murdered along with Pastor Salim until God got them out of prison and into Canada. This is a wonderful family with a powerful testimony. The Lord willing, Pastor Burgess will meet Pastor Salim and Hamida in Pakistan this year.
"Mexico"

"Oasis de Amor "
Our ministry in Saltillo miss seeing us. It has been quite some time since we have been able to go to Mexico. We haven't been able to go to Mexico. We have been expected to attend several functions but unable to do so. Regardless the apartment on top of the Church is still being built as the money comes in. Claudia and Pedro have been very faithful even if we have not been able to be there as much as we wanted due to to finances, surgeries and other ministries. Please keep these proven, dedicated members of LFF in your prayers.
"Philippines'
Hard and tough times have hit our ministry in the Philippines. Typhoons have caused flooding and great damage as well as civil unrest throughout this island nation. There has been thousands brought to the Lord throughout the years and the enemy has been angry. But that's really his problem because the Lord isn't finished there. There is still a harvest in these islands and God means to harvest it. Please pray for all the minstries that we have started and supported and of course, those we have not, they are the Lord's! |
