Dr. and Mrs. Burgess were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in the 70's in their home town of Eugene Oregon. Deeply involved in soul winning the Lord led them into full time ministry two years later as Outreach Ministers in Milton Washington, near Tacoma, with the Assemblies of God. It became the third fastest growing church in that district during the years the Burgess's were there. They Pastored in Ashland Oregon with great success (the church grew from 14 members to 150 in six months). Before this there was of a time Evangelistic ministry. In 1987 the Lord had the Burgess's move to the Mid-West where they pioneered Loving Faith Fellowship Church in Sioux City Iowa. In 1989 Loving Faith Fellowship International was founded. Today there are over 400 churches under LFFI in the U.S. and World Wide along with other ministries. Dr. Burgess also has a Ph.D. in clinical pastoral counseling and is board certified in several areas to help the Body of Christ. He is a world wide conference speaker, conducts crusades and seminars to encourage and build the Church throughout the world. In 2007 it was Loving Faith Fellowship's 20th anniversary.
